The southern Cape coast has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. Between January and March the average temperature is around 27°C. This is one of the most pleasant times to visit the Cape, with its offerings of long, warm days and cool evenings. Winters are cool, and rainy. The rainy season extends from June to September with temperatures ranging between 8°C and 17°C. |
